MICRO-Z™ II
DC Stimulation For Rapid Pain Relief
The Micro-Z™ II is a small, lightweight stimulator that allows patients to receive gentle and soothing electrotherapeutic treatment in comfort. It is programmed for two treatment protocols. The first is a 30-minute daytime treatment and the second is an eight-hour nighttime treatment that is administered while the patient sleeps. The Micro-Z™ II can be used to treat acute and chronic injuries, sources of pain, increase circulation while improving range of motion, and minimize soft tissue atrophy and injury. Its compact size and ease of use increases patient compliance and when used with Prizm's Electro-Mesh, Silver-Thera, and Stim-Support garment electrodes, they offer opportunity for rapid patient recovery.
The Micro-Z™ II is now available to Medical Professionals for in office treatments or have your patients take it home!
Leading the way in Regenerative Medicine with DC Stimulation
Regenerative Medicine for Soft Tissue Healing
Deep Tissue Electrotherapy
The Micro-Z™ II is a DC Stimulator where a pulse-directed current goes deeply into the tissue bed. It promotes increased microcirculation and edema reduction, which in turn promotes healing. The Micro-Z™ II will help to relieve pain while reducing muscle spasms and increasing range of motion.
The Micro-Z™ II is the only device that is approved by the FDA as a NMES and TENS. Unlike conventional NMES and TENS, which dose a pulsed AC Stimulation in the milli-amperage range, the Micro-Z™ II dosages the stimulation in the micro-amperage range. This is critically important to have a biological effect rather than just masking the pain because the body operates on DC signaling. Origins for this DC stimulation go back more than 50 years where it was used for healing chronic wounds, but stimulation was delivered via very large devices unlike today.

Conductive Garments
Common Rehabilitation Areas
By increasing microcirculation to treat acute and chronic injuries, our products accelerate the body’s own natural healing process while treating and relieving pain. Our vast array of garment electrodes are powered by the Micro-Z™ II, which is a high volt pulsed galvanic neuromuscular and pain (TENS) stimulator which promotes increased microcirculation and rapid tissue healing.
Hand & Wrist
Electro-Mesh™ electrodes offer less than 1 ohm of resistance per cm², making their conductive capabilities much higher than other carbon or silver chloride hydrogel electrodes.
Foot & Leg
The Silver-Thera™ stocking and Silver-Thera™ sock is a patented stocking woven from silver nylon and dacron to provide conductivity over the complete treatment surface area.
Back
The Stim-Support™ Bracing incorporates soft terry cloth lining that captures body heat, increases circulation, allows skin to ventilate, wicks moisture, and provides compression and support.
Knee
The Stim-Support™ bracing incorporates soft terry cloth lining that captures body heat, increases circulation, allows skin to ventilate, wicks moisture, provides compression and support, and provides long-term comfort for the wearer.
Shoulder
The Stim-Support™ bracing incorporates soft terry cloth lining that captures body heat, increases circulation, allows skin to ventilate, wicks moisture, provides compression and support, and provides long-term comfort for the wearer. The Stim-Support incorporates two 4″x 8″ electromesh conductive panels for comprehensive stimulation of the lower lumbar region.
Elbow
The Stim-Support™ bracing incorporates soft terry cloth lining that captures body heat, increases circulation, allows skin to ventilate, wicks moisture, provides compression and support, and provides long-term comfort for the wearer.
Is your pain keeping you awake at night?
Therapy While You Sleep
Nocturnal Mode
The need for good quality sleep is essential for promoting proper healing and maintaining healthy bodily function. Pain, which may be associated with injury and acute and chronic disorders often compromises the body’s ability to heal by leading to sleep disorders. It has been found that the body's regenerative process occurs at night because 70% of growth hormones are produced while sleeping.

Hormones are chemical substances secreted into the blood by the endocrine glands and carried by blood and tissue fluids to the cells they act upon. Different classes of hormones (such as steroid, peptide or protein and amine) act on the target tissue by different mechanisms and can alter the function of the target tissue.

Peptide and protein hormones (insulin) stimulate the intracellular enzyme activity by interacting with receptor sites on the cell surface. Protein is needed to meet the need for tissue repair and resistance to infection. Protein helps to replace losses resulting from immobility. Steroid hormones (such as glucocorticoids and hydrocorticoids) are important factors of glucose metabolism. Increased secretion of these hormones can result in elevated blood glucose levels.

The lack of sleep and hormonal instability is not unusual in patients with chronic wounds. Sleep deprivation can diminish the body’s ability to secrete and respond to the hormone insulin which helps regulate blood sugar. Athletes are prone to compromised blood sugar and insulin levels, causing problems with sleeping which leads to poor health and complications.

Growth factors, including basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), and nerve growth factor (NGF), can improve muscle regeneration.

The use of the Micro-Z™ II DC stimulator has the effect of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) can prevent fibrosis and improve muscle healing, resulting in nearly complete recovery.

It is noteworthy to mention that the body naturally minimizes blood flow to the extremities while sleeping to maintain body trunk core temperature and functions. This in turn exasperates the pain while sleeping. Athletes already suffering from poor circulatory problems in their muscle and vessels may in fact benefit from nighttime therapy that promotes microcirculation.
